Haribo Stafetten Licorice Hard Candy Shell

A German original: chewy licorice sticks inside a fruity candy coating. These "running staffs" (Stafetten) used in relay races ("Stafettenlauf") have delighted Haribo fans for decades. Even people who do not fancy licorice will love this taste.

In 1922, 29 year old German candy maker Hans Riegel introduced a revolutionary new product to candy fans in his native Bonn: the gummi bear. Besides gummi bears, Haribo has also introduced well known sweet treats such as licorice snails (Lakritzschnecken) and marshmallow candies.  As a family business in its third generation, Haribo celebrated their 100 year anniversary in 2020 and 100 Years of Goldbears in 2022.
